For quite some time now the eastern end of Jetty Road Glenelg (from Partridge Street to Brighton Road) has been unpopular and boring with most businesses struggling to survive.
Ever since the demolishment of the landmark Ozone Cinema in 2009, the reality of this has been heightened even more despite the recent development of the Bayside Village shopping complex.
When driving down Jetty Road the transition from a lively and vibrant atmosphere to a slow and old-fashioned vibe is extremely evident. On the Eastern side, spaces that we're previously shops have either re-located elsewhere or shut down completely, leaving many sites up for lease.
